Bad news, but there’s good news too!

First the bad news: The head honchos at the CW have decided to stop posting Gossip Girl episodes online. Nooooo!! I was an online only viewer of GG because The Husband and I watch other things at the time that GG is on and since he doesn’t like it, we watch what we both agree on and then I would watch GG in peace at my own convenience. But now I can’t. Because the CW is mean. I wrote them an email complaining about this because not everyone is able to watch shows at the time that they originally air. And what about the people that don’t even get the CW in their area? Around here, we didn’t get the WB until Dawson’s Creek was near the end of its run. And even if you do usually watch GG when it airs, if you happen to miss an episode one night you’re out of luck because now you can’t catch up by watching it on the CW website.

So boo to you, CW. That was the only show I watched on your network anyway so you’ve lost me entirely. And judging by the responses on that thread on their messageboard, I’m not the only one they’ve lost.

Okay, now the good news to cheer me up: Something to Blog About has been chosen as a Book Sense Summer 2008 Children’s Pick!! There are 57 titles on the list (the full list will be released in May) and I’m thrilled that STBA is one of them!

And even more good news, I just finished marking up the last page of my print out of book two for this round of revisions! Yay! I’m not quite done yet. Now I need to type all these changes I made into the Word document and there are still a couple more things I want to do a bit more work on as I’m typing. But it’s almost ready to go back to my editor. I’ll definitely be taking my laptop with me on vacation though! I hope my family doesn’t mind if I lock myself in a room for a few hours so I can focus. 😉

Yay on the Booksense pick!!!!!!!!!! Too exciting. And yay for being (almost) done with another revision.

I have issues with the CW as well, and have been mad at them since they canceled Veronica Mars.

    Your book

    Hi there,

I’m the YA Librarian at the Delray Beach Public Library. We just received your book. I think I remember that you have some roots in Palm Beach County. If you’re ever back in the area I’d love to have you come do an event at our library!

    Take care,
