What’s been going on

I feel like I’ve been hibernating. I’ve been working, but I haven’t felt too social in a while. I do post on Facebook every now and then, but not much on Twitter in a while. And the last couple of weeks I’ve felt even more like a bear hiding away in a dark cave as I worked on some revisions for something I can’t yet talk about.blank

Don’t you hate when people say they can’t talk about something? It’s annoying! I’m annoying myself too because I really do want to talk about it, but I can’t. Yet. Forgive me? 🙂

This is the first time in several years that I haven’t participated in NaNoWriMo. I miss it, but I’ve been too busy to commit myself to writing 50,000 words on just one project. I might actually write 50k words this month, but it will be on several different things. This weekend I get to write a few fashion articles, which will be fun! The husband has been making fun of me because as a freelance writer I sometimes write about things I don’t really know a lot about. Like hearing loss. I wrote an article about hearing loss this week. I mean, I can learn what I need to know to write the article, that’s what research is for, but whenever I tell him what I’m writing about, he says, “What do you know about that?” So I jumped at the chance to get to write a few articles about fashion. I know fashion. I love fashion.

I’m still adjusting to life as a self-employed writer/graphic designer. I spend a lot of time alone, which I always thought I wouldn’t have a problem with because I’m so introverted. It turns out that I actually do need human interaction more than I thought!Swans Landing

Anyway, if you haven’t seen it yet, the Swans Landing series has been released as a boxed set! This is all four books–Surfacing, Submerging, Shifting, and Surrendering–in one ebook edition for just $8.99. If you bought each book separately, it would cost you $12.96, so you’re getting a great deal with the boxed set. It’s available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Kobo, and will come to iTunes soon.
