This one, as you can guess from the blurb, is narrated by Josh. All of the secrets various characters have been keeping are finally revealed in this book. Some of them you may have guessed, but others I hope will take you by surprise.
Surrendering is the last book of the Swans Landing series, but I’m also releasing a novella retelling of Surfacing over on Wattpad. It’s called Slipping (Swans Landing #1.5) and is narrated by Josh as well. It’s basically Surfacing from Josh’s point of view, and it is shorter than Surfacing, but it also has a few details you didn’t see from Mara’s point of view. So go check it out over there if you’re curious! I’ll release it in ebook format once it’s completed on Wattpad, but you can always read it over there in the meantime.
Also, although this is the last book of this series, it probably won’t be the last book about Swans Landing. I’ve mentioned in a couple of places that I’m brainstorming a prequel series which would focus on Mara’s, Josh’s, and Sailor’s parents. It would be a slightly older series, more new New Adult than Young Adult since the characters would be in their early twenties. I have no details on an expected release of this series since I haven’t even started writing the first book, but know that I am in the planning stages of it and you’ll see Swans Landing again in the future!
But for now, the question you’re probably asking is, “When will Surrendering be published??”
The answer: Friday, August 16!
