First, I want to let you all know about a new site, Read It and Laugh. I’m happy to be a part of the team of authors on this site which will focus on funny MG and YA books. While we all like darker books as well (and even write some), we do want to show that the state of MG and YA these days is not all “doom and gloom” like some people believe. There are books out there meant to make you laugh and smile, and so we’ll be bringing you more of those through our new blog. You can also follow the group on Twitter, ReadIt_andLaugh.

Next, I’m sharing a sneak peek at Surfacing, my paranormal YA which will be released November 15 in ebook format. It’s not really a funny book, so it doesn’t fit in with the blog above, but that’s okay! We love the darker YA too. 🙂
ALSO: if you’re in eastern North Carolina, there will be a launch party for Surfacing at the Lenoir Community College library in Kinston, November 15 at 12:00pm-1:30pm. I’ll be speaking about all of my books and answering questions. There will be refreshments, and copies of Troy High and Something to Blog About for sale, which I’ll also sign. I’ll also have bookmarks, postcards, and posters for all of my books to giveaway, and I think the library will be holding some giveaways as well, maybe some gift bags and a free ebook copy of Surfacing.
