I had to go get my eyes examined on Saturday. I always hate going to the eye doctor just because I always convince myself that any eye problems I have is just my imagination and the doctor will say my vision is perfect and therefore I wasted their time. But not so. Apparently my vision has gotten a little worse. I was prescribed reading glasses a few years ago and the doctor said then that my eyes focus slower than they should. I was getting a lot of headaches and eye strain lately and I felt like it was taking me even longer to focus on words than before, which was why I made the appointment. I now have a stronger prescription for reading glasses. Well, not right at this moment. My new glasses will be in at the end of the week, so for now I’m still using my old ones.
I considered getting some cool thick frames like Lisa Loeb, but I just don’t think they look very good on me. They make me look weird, not cute. So I stuck with thin frames like I already had.
They also dilated my pupils at the appointment, which I’d never had done before. It was weird and annoying to not be able to read anything for a few hours. I told The Husband that that’s how they get you–they dilate your pupils so you can’t read the prices on the frames, so they’re already ringing you up before you hear how much it’s going to cost you.
Yesterday was The Husband’s birthday. It was a big one–he turned 30!
I hate having my pupils dilated. 🙁 They do that to me almost every time I get my eyes checked!
