Five for Friday

1. I love button up shirts, but I hate trying to find one that fits. It’s always the same: If the top half fits me perfectly, then the bottom half won’t button over my hips. If the bottom half fits me perfectly, then the top half is huge across my back and shoulders.

2. The Dish Network guy is supposed to come tomorrow to hook up the satellite service that we are finally getting. The entire eight years we’ve been married, we’ve lived on just free network TV and have enjoyed the luxury of 200+ channels only when visiting other people or staying in hotels.

3. Actually, the Dish Network guy was supposed to come two weeks ago. But he never showed up. Finally at 5:00pm on the dot (he was supposed to come between 12 and 5), he called to say he’d have to reschedule our installation. The earliest date he could reschedule for was tomorrow. So Dish Network only gets two chances. If the guy doesn’t show up tomorrow, I’ll call DirecTV and see if they might want my money instead.

4. Writing something new always reminds me of why I love writing. I love the excitement of finding out where a story is going and what will happen to the characters.

5. I’ve been knitting a lot lately. Finished this on Saturday:

(And referring back to #1, that is one of the few button up shirts I’ve been able to find that actually fits me pretty well. It’s only slightly too big on the top half instead of gigantically big.)

P.S. – To the reader named Tiffany who wrote to me over the weekend asking if Libby’s mom gets married, I tried to write you back but my email was bounced back to me. So if you read this, if you’ll send me another email from another address I’ll be glad to write back to you and answer your questions!
