The Return of the Plant Killer

Last year, we had a Big Spring Planting Project in which we dug up the old shrubs and planted new ones along our house. I had high hopes for the new plants since they were outside and I didn’t have to be directly involved in their care, but apparently my Plant Killer status continues. Out of the nandinas, euonymus, camellias, rhododendron, and one dogwood tree we planted last spring, only the nandinas and euonymus are still alive.

But of course, I haven’t yet learned that I should not be allowed within fifty feet of any plant life because I decided I wanted to grow tomatoes. So yesterday we planted three tomato plants in the backyard. I’m keeping my fingers crossed.

Also, I kind of feel like I’m getting sick.
