Movies & music

I only watched the very beginning and the very end of the Oscars last night because instead I was watching the last part of Pride and Prejudice on PBS. I had never seen the Colin Firth P&P before, though I had seen the Keira Knightley one. All the things I’ve heard about the Colin Firth one were right. It’s so much better than the Keira Knightley version (although I can understand why so much had to be cut from the Keira Knightley one since it was meant to be shown in theaters).

I feel like I didn’t really have a weekend, which is strange because I didn’t do anything to make me feel like that. I didn’t have a busy weekend, I spent most of it at home scrapbooking and writing and reading. I’m trying to get caught up in my scrapbooking because I still had the huge pile of pictures from our trip to the mountains waiting to be done. And I just ordered prints of Christmas pictures, so I’ll have another huge pile when those come in.

The other thing I did this weekend was add an iMix for Something to Blog About on my website. If you have iTunes you can open it in there and listen to clips of the songs. These are mostly songs I listened to while working on STBA, but others are songs that just remind me of the characters or certain scenes from the book.

I LOVE the Colin Firth version of P&P, too, so much better than the Keira Knightly one. I watched it yesterday as well, even though I don’t know how many times I’ve already seen it!

I finally watched the Keira P&P last week. Ugh, it just…didn’t do it for me at all. What really drove me crazy was all the weird slow zooming in while people talked.
