Plunk

I discovered today that I’m a really bad rock skipper. We went to the local nature center because the weather was so nice and we like walking along the river and looking at the animals (there’s a bird there named Oliver who says “Hey, Oliver!” and “Happy birthday!”). The Husband started skipping rocks across the river and he did pretty well, making them skip five or six times before sinking.

But every time I tried, my rocks went PLUNK!–straight down into the water. The Husband found a rock that he said was so perfect for skipping, even I could make it work. Nope. Right to the bottom of the river, without even a half-hearted rollover on top of the water.

Also, I can’t seem to remember when my library books are due back. Every time I get some books, for whatever reason, I always think I have a week or more longer than I actually do to read them. I was convinced that the three books I have sitting on my dining room table were due back January 13. But when I checked the slip the librarian had given me, I saw that they were actually due back January 2. Oops. Where in the world did I come up with January 13?

Rock skipping is challenging. I stink at it as well.

And I would be LOST if I didn’t get library due noticed via email. I would have hundreds and hundreds of overdue fines.

I don’t think I could live without email notices. Granted the library I work at is small and doesn’t send them, but I don’t get fines there…so I’m good. But I get most my books from my local library anyway, since they have access to tons more.

It’s funny that you found my blog because it’s specifically set up in such a way that only people I know outside the internet can read it. No proper names, nothing except my full name without the middle name can register through a google search. … Well, I thought so.
No, it’s not weird that you’ve been reading it. If you keep reading you’ll find that nothing is too weird for me.
I’m going to link your blog to mine, if that’s OK. See you later.

    xoxo,

I’m a bit of a Google-sleuth. 🙂 I remembered you said you wanted to write books, so I was just wondering if you had any writings posted anywhere on the internet and did some searching. Your name led me to one 50 word story site, which then led me to your blog.

It’s perfectly fine if you want to link to me. This is my very public author blog (so I don’t delve too much into personal stuff), so I don’t mind who reads it.
