You never know how much you love food until you can’t eat it

blankWell, last week just completely disappeared on me. I had the stomach virus from hell that would not go away. Just when I thought I was getting better, it would hit again. So I barely got anything done–housework or writing related–and I spent a lot of time sleeping or else curled up in a ball while telling my husband to buy me a new digestive tract because mine was broken.

I think I’m finally back to normal now, except that means I have to get caught up on the work I missed last week. Sigh.

But I am going to the zoo this week, so that’s a plus! 😀

This week I’m enjoying eating all the things I couldn’t eat last week because just the thought of them made me feel bad. Like pizza. And cheeseburgers. And jelly beans. And Cadbury Creme Eggs. And cookies. And basically everything other than toast, oranges, and carrots. That’s just about all that I lived on last week.

I just got my new Pampered Chef large stoneware bar pan yesterday, so now I have to make cookies with it to test it out. I have quite a few Pampered Chef items that I’ve bought over the years from various parties, but I’d had just the round pizza stone before now that I would use for cookies. And whenever I made cookies, I could only fit a few on it at a time. I kept telling The Husband, “This is not acceptable. I need room for more cookies!” So this time, when a friend had a Pampered Chef party recently, I made sure to get the LARGE bar pan so I would have room for more cookies.

And now I must make cookies, since I can actually eat them again.

Man, I really missed food last week.
