We got hit by a big snowstorm (big for our area anyway) on Sunday, but I’m just now getting around to writing about it. My internet connection went out Sunday morning after it had been snowing a few hours and we thought maybe it was because of the snow. Because a couple of years ago, after the people my neighbor hired to work on his driveway accidentally cut through the phone line to my house while digging, the phone company decided to repair it by leaving some wires wrapped around the outside of the pole at the corner of the lot. Ever since then, whenever it rains heavily, our internet connection goes out. But by Wednesday it still wasn’t back and so I called the phone company. The repair guy came out and determined that our modem had suddenly gone bad and so it had to be replaced. Odd that it coincided with the heavy snowfall!
So anyway, we’re once again connected to the outside world and I can upload my pictures of the snow.
That? Is part of the back end of our yard and the field behind our house that stretches way out toward a small group of trees and a few other houses. But you couldn’t tell where our yard ended the field began after the snow fell.
The trees in my neighbor’s yard were very pretty, all coated with thick snow. And I liked the soft light of the Christmas tree in the gray and white world.
Chloe loved it! She kept running around the yard, eating the snow and getting it all over her face.
Daisy? Not so much. Her legs are short, so she had a hard time walking in that 6 to 8 inches of snow.
Snow in December around here is very unusual. Especially 6 to 8 inches of snow! It was soft, powdery snow too. Most of the time when we get snow, it’s not more than an inch or two and it’s slushy. We were snowed in for a couple of days, happy to just sit at home, watch TV and drink hot chocolate.
This has been a strange, cold winter so far.
lol poor daisy!!!
you got more snow than i did!! thats just crazy!
Yes, Daisy was not happy at all, lol! 😉
It was very crazy! We don’t get that much snow very often around here.
So much snow!!! We got about 2-3 inches and felt like we were in a Winter Wonderland. I loved it!
Snow always makes everything look so pretty. It’s way too cold for me to be out in it very long, but I like looking at it. 🙂
Love the photos! Bailey had a great time, too. She pranced in the snow like she was a deer and kept trying to eat it.
Aw, lol! I love when dogs enjoy the snow and bounce all around in it. They’re so cute! 🙂
