I didn’t dress up today. This month was just too busy and crazy for me to think of a costume and get it together. 🙁 Next year I’ll have to start planning in July.
(Also, I have a microdermabrasion treatment right after work today so I anything I came up with would have had to involve not doing anything to my face or else I’d have to bring along my face wash and everything to clean myself up in my work’s bathroom before I left.)
But I’m still excited it’s Halloween. One co-worker has dressed up like another co-worker today, which is hilarious. It made me think of when Jim dressed up like Dwight on The Office. And even though we rarely get trick or treaters, I still have a big bag of candy at home. Which I already opened and started eating from on Monday afternoon. I told The Husband that if that bag of candy had those little strawberry candies in it, it would be the BEST BAG OF CANDY EVER. Because it already has Tootsie Rolls and Tootsie Pops and boxes of Dots and even those fruit flavored Tootsie Rolls that I love. But it doesn’t have any strawberry candy, so it’s just ALMOST THE BEST BAG OF CANDY EVER.
I found out yesterday that I won something at work on Wednesday. We had a meeting at the end of the day, but I had a doctor’s appointment and so I wasn’t there. We give to the United Way every year through work and everyone who does gets their name put into a drawing to win one of three prizes. My name was announced at the meeting for third place–which is $100! Woohoo! I guess now I can’t say that I NEVER win anything.
Also, I voted yesterday, have you yet? I’m not going to get political on this blog because the only party I really support is the Party of People Who Love Cheese (I just made that up, but if you love cheese too you’re welcome to join!). I don’t care who you vote for, pick who YOU think is best. Just vote, especially if you’re female. Women have only had the right to vote in the US since 1920. When I was in high school in Florida, I took a feminist psychology class at the local community college as a high school credit (in exchange for having a free period every morning, I only had to go to the class one night a week) and we studied the women’s suffrage movement more in depth, which was very interesting and moving. Don’t take for granted what the women of that time fought so hard for.
I’ll support the Party of People Who Love Cheese!
