Podcasts

I’ve become addicted to podcasts in the last few months. I love finding new ones that I didn’t know about. Here are what I’ve been listening to lately:

  • Lipgloss and Laptops – Yes, it’s about makeup. But it’s also about technology, current world events, the cosmetic industry, and beauty culture.
  • I Should Be Writing – Mur Lafferty is a science fiction/fantasy writer, but her podcast has information and discussions that are universal to all writers, no matter what genre you write in.
  • Savvies – A podcast about shopping! And saving money! Two things I really like. 😉 This is a video podcast and you get to follow the ladies on shopping trips and get some tips on what to look for.
  • Betty in the Sky With a Suitcase – If you need a laugh, listen to this podcast by a flight attendant.
  • Notes in Spanish – I’m trying to brush up on my Spanish. Three years of high school Spanish and I still can’t speak it very well. I’m going through the beginner podcasts right now, but there are also intermediate and advanced podcasts available.
  • Grammar Girl’s Quick and Dirty Tips for Writing – Tips on common grammar mistakes and how to improve your writing.
  • 60 Second Psych and 60 Second Science – One minute reports on news from the neuroscience and science worlds.

Do you have any podcasts that you love?

I just signed up for Buffybetweenthelines.com and have added all of ScottSigler.net’s. He is my newest craze because he has all of his books as podcasts, and while blow your mind scary, are so much fun.

Once I find my Ipod, I hope to get back into podcasting. I did a few of the Veronica Mars ones, and stuff that I heard about when I was in scotland. Also, I like the idea of that spanish one!
