Something to Blog About

Yay!!!! It’s here!!

Back in December 2006, when I signed the contract with Amulet Books, I felt like this day was SOOOOOO far away and would never get here. But now it feels like the time has flown by, although last year was a lot of hard work!

Thank you all for reading my blog and I hope you’ll enjoy Something to Blog About. To celebrate the release day, I’m reading a short scene from the book:

(You can hear my dog make a squeaking noise at one point and then one of my cats sneezed not long after that. And I have to send a thank you to Lisa Schroeder, author of I Heart You, You Haunt Me for the idea of using a vlog to celebrate release day, as she did with her book. It was fun! Although I still think I look goofy and I keep getting tongue-tied.)

(Also, info about booksignings coming soon. If you’re in North Carolina, keep an eye out here for the dates and locations. If you’ll be at the ALA conference in Anaheim, California, in June, I’ll be there signing books too!)

    Congratulations!

I can’t get the vlog to play as I’m at work but I hope I will be able to get it at home — I have put ‘Something to Blog About’ high on my must-buy list! Enjoy!

Your vlogs have been fun to watch and I loved the scene you read. When I read your book I’m sure to hear it in a southern accent. 🙂

    Happy Release Day!

Great Vlog! I won a copy of your book from Author2Author and just finished it. I loved it! More importantly, I had to go to a meeting and left the book by my chair. My 12yo daughter snagged it and read it straight through that evening! She also loved it. Be looking for a review from Teens Read Too! Congratulations! I’ll be looking for more books from you!

Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed it! And I’m thrilled to hear that your daughter loved it too! I’ll keep an eye out for the review. Thanks again! 🙂

    Congratulations!

Happy book release day! I’ll add “Something to blog about” on my to-buy list of books. (It’s at about forty right now!)
I couldn’t watch the video, though. I’ll try again tomorrow.

    Wow!

I have never heard of this book but I saw it on the back cover of “ttyl” by Lauren Myracle. I’ve always wanted a book about a teenager dealing with many problems but has a safe place to let herself blog about her life!
    I can’t wait to buy it! 🙂

    You are pretty in pink.

And brave, much braver than I am. I’m afraid I’d scare everyone on my f-list if I were to post an unretouched photo of myself, sans makeup and with post-workout hair.

Your middle school date sounds like a blast, but the zoo was more of a hair-raising experience, eh? 🙂

I didn’t know about that site that shows what books are for free on Kindle! Thanks.

I completely agree with you on everything you said about e-piracy. My library even offers e-downloads through Overload that are free and expire after a certain amount of time, like borrowing a regular book from the physical library. That’s totally legal! I don’t understand why people don’t just do that instead of finding an illegal copy.
