Catch up

Is it really December? What happened to 2009? November especially slipped away from me.

To recap, during November I:

  • tore down my closet and rebuilt it with all kinds of new shelves and drawers and it makes me really, really happy! I like for everything to have its place, even if I’m not always neat and tidy.
  • got a new cat–well, actually she adopted us. She was a stray that showed up at our house and kept coming back, so now she’s officially part of the family.
  • found out that the audiobook of Something to Blog About is now available on Audible.com! It’s also available through iTunes if you’d rather go through there. Troy High should be coming soon. I’ve never wanted to reread my books once they were published because during the editing process I had to read them so many times I got completely sick of them, but I have to admit that I kind of want to listen to the audiobooks. It’s weird, but also kind of awesome, to hear someone else reading my words!
  • tore up all the carpet in my dining room so we can put down pretty laminate flooring instead. Which we’re still working on because we can only really work on it on the weekends thanks to our work schedules. Which means I now have a bunch of chairs in my computer room, a china cabinet and side table in my guest room, and a dining table taking up half of my kitchen and blocking off one of the walkways around the island until we get the floor done.

So now it’s December and I’ve got Christmas shopping to figure out before I go crazy, but really, I just keep coming across more presents for myself. Someone tell Coach to stop tempting me with their coupons. I need more bags like I need this aching carpal tunnel syndrome in my left arm.

Oh, I don’t think I ever posted this interview about Something to Blog About that I did with Ivy Hopper for the Crescenta Valley Weekly, so here you go!
