I just wanted to say a big good luck to everyone participating in NaNoWriMo this month! I always loved NaNo, but I just can’t do it anymore. My left wrist gives me a lot of problems and it can’t handle that fast, intense writing speed now. Also last year and this year, I’ve found myself working on other things in November that I can’t push aside for NaNo. (I may hang around in the forums a bit though. I do like popping in and seeing what everyone else is talking about. I’m shana over there. Very creative username, I know.)
But good luck to all of you who are participating and remember to have fun! You’ll write a lot of crap, but good stuff can come out of it. My second book, Troy High, was written as a NaNoWriMo novel in 2006! It changed drastically from what it originally was, but NaNo let me get the framework to build from.
