I’m off work this week, so The Husband took a few days off too and we went out on the Carolina Princess fishing boat on Monday. The Husband has been wanting me to go out on the boat with him and I finally agreed, but only if we could do the half day trip. There was no way I could be on a boat for 12 hours or longer. So we took the boat that goes out at 8:00am and comes back at 2:00pm.
I had fun. I’m not big on fishing and I’m terrible at it anyway, but I did manage to catch two fish. The fishing didn’t seem to be too great that day, everyone was having problems catching anything. The greedy fish just kept stealing our bait and running away. The Husband caught a few more than me. I did, however, manage to catch the fish that tied with someone else’s for the jackpot. If you catch the biggest fish, you get the winnings from everyone that chipped in money to get into the jackpot. The teenage boy and I tied–we both caught a monster ONE POUND fish!
Yes, I did say ONE POUND. Everyone else’s fish were smaller than ours, so we got to split the $72 jackpot.
I came back sunburned though. I put on a TON of sunblock all over and the only part of me that got burned was a little bit on the top of my forehead and my shoulders and chest. I look like I have skin colored tank top straps across my shoulders. The bad thing–I’m in a wedding this weekend. And will be wearing a strapless dress. I hope my cousin doesn’t mind my skin colored tank top straps surrounded by bright red. Also, I’ve hurt my ankles, I think from all the running that EA Sports Active makes me do, so I’m hobbling when I walk. Doesn’t that sound nice–a limping, lobster red bridesmaid with flesh straps above her strapless gown. I always aim to make a great impression!
