Friday 4

1. I’m filming some short videos of me talking about Troy High to post on my blog next month, but then every time I watch them, I keep thinking, “I look really stupid. And I sound really stupid. Why doesn’t anyone tell me in real life that I look and sound really stupid?” I’m hoping maybe it’s just the poopy quality of my camera’s video-taking skills and not that I actually do look and sound stupid in real life. Because if I do, I’ll just go put a paper bag over my head right now and never speak again.

2. I’m having a blog party next month to countdown to the release of Troy High! I’ll have music and special guests and behind the scenes info on Troy High. And you’re all invited! I’ll tell a bit more info later this month as we get closer to the party.

3. I have to go to the bookstore to pick up another book I ordered today. I’ve bought several books lately, which led me to ask myself, “Am I buying too many books?”

Then I decided that no, I wasn’t because there’s no such thing as “too many books.”

Anyway, in the past week I’ve bought One Wish by Leigh Brescia (finished it yesterday and loved it!), Peace, Love, and Baby Ducks by Lauren Myracle (reading this right now!), Dead is So Last Year by Marlene Perez, Twenty Boy Summer by Sarah Ockler, and Prada and Prejudice by Mandy Hubbard (which is the book I have to go pick up today). And my book buying hasn’t kept me away from the library–I just finished and returned Paper Towns by John Green. I have to say that it’s now my favorite of his books.

So as I said, there’s no such thing as too many books. Although there is a such thing as “no place to put them,” which is what my bookshelves keep telling me whenever I buy new ones.

4. Is it Saturday yet?

    A book to read.

Shana, if you want a really good book to read go get the book The Life Before Her Eyes by Laura Kasischke. You could just see the movie but the book is better.
