Covers and viruses

There’s one thing that I think will never get old, no matter how many books I may have published: Seeing a new cover for the first time.

I got a look at the first draft of the cover for TROY HIGH tonight and I’m just as excited as I was when I first saw SOMETHING TO BLOG ABOUT’s cover. I can’t wait until the final version is done and everyone gets to see it!

In other news…I killed my work computer. Oops. Well, somehow it got a virus last Friday–one of those viruses that gives you tons of pop ups for all kinds of things–and so all day long while I was trying to work I’d have to keep closing pop up windows. That particular virus would also deny access to some websites, so there were a couple of websites that I needed to use in my work which I could no longer log into. We tried to remove it, but apparently it would hide somewhere in a deep dark corner of my hard drive so it could keep coming back to terrorize me. The bright side is I now have a newer, nicer computer with a flat-screen monitor, new keyboard, and mouse. Woohoo! Maybe the next time I want a new computer, I’ll just get a virus again. (Kidding!)

Get Kapersky – it’s the um.. Zeus of virus software. It’s AMAZING. It’ll stop anything. My mom got it after her Sims obsession killed her laptop (supposedly).

I see your book on my shelves at work and I need to read it!

Yay, I want to see the cover too. I love covers. I can’t imagine what it’s like to see the cover for your own book. Very exciting.
