Friday Five

1. Working hard on edits for my second book this week. I haven’t read the book in several months so I don’t mind reading it again and can enjoy it because I’m not sick of it at the moment. But I haven’t decided yet whether it’s okay or completely pathetic to giggle over funny lines in your own book that you had forgotten you’d written.

2. Thanks to trillian42 for linking to this: Austenbook. Love it! My favorite part is: “Mrs. Bennet joined the group Widows of Men Killed in Duels.” Ha! (Though it’s probably not as funny if you’re not familiar with Pride and Prejudice. And if you’re not, you should be. Go read it now!)

3. Speaking of Pride and Prejudice, I was SO excited when I found this in a bookstore:
100_2404
Little P&P!!! Eeven though I already have a (normal sized) copy of P&P, I could not resist the allure of the almost palm-sized book.

4. I haven’t started my Christmas shopping yet. Well, actually, I did buy one present. FOR MYSELF. But I have good reasons:

  • The Husband always lets me pick out my presents anyway so I get exactly what I want.
  • I had a 50% off your purchase coupon good for Black Friday (and Saturday).
  • The items in question (Avonlea DVDs) are usually ridiculously expensive, so 50% off your purchase was too great of a deal to pass up.

But as far as shopping for OTHER people, I haven’t started. We’re planning to do some shopping tomorrow though, and hopefully we’ll get it all knocked out then. Although I have no idea what to get anyone. That’s why people should pick out their own gifts.

5. Um. Nothing to see here, I don’t have a number five!
