I got sick suddenly yesterday afternoon. Could not keep any food down, developed a fever and body aches, the whole works. So yesterday I didn’t eat anything at all after breakfast. Early today I managed to eat less than half of a Pop-Tart, a few spoonfuls of vegetable soup, and an orange. Tonight I told The Husband I felt like having a sandwich, so he bought some ham so I could make one.
“This is the best thing I have ever eaten in my life,” I told him as I ate my ham sandwich.
The Husband couldn’t believe that a plain ham sandwich was the best thing I’d ever eaten, but it really felt like it. I was starving, but I’d been unable to get myself to eat much all day. And I haven’t been able to eat anything since then. I’m still feeling really bad–The Husband made popcorn earlier and the smell of it made me queasy. I had to cover my nose with my blanket while he ate it.
I don’t know where I picked this bug up from. I felt fine Thursday morning when I got up. My parents, sister, niece, and aunt were here staying with me for a couple of days this week because my grandmother had surgery and was in the hospital, so I had to email them to let them to know to watch out for whatever this virus I have is.
My local Wal-Mart finally got my book in. The store manager requested it, but for some reason, their book supplier insisted it was a self-published book and they wouldn’t carry it unless it sold like 200,000 copies or something. They finally figured out it wasn’t self-published and now have it on the shelves. But there’s one problem:
Apparently my name is now Vicki.
maybe your preggers…
well, “Shana” is so close to “Vicki” that I can totally see it… hehe
I had a patient at work who once called me “Octavia.” my name badge, clearly reading “Kristal,” was facing him. that is my favorite mistaken name story. 🙂
I’m sorry you’ve been sick, Shana. Er, Vicki. I hope you’re feeling 100% by now.
(gentle hugs)
Feel better soon, Vicki Shana!
Hope you feel better, Shana. And Vicki is just strange name to confuse you with.
Too funny (and sad) — hope you feel better soon!!
