I took a personal day from work yesterday because The Husband got really sick Sunday afternoon. Running a fever, couldn’t keep anything down. It came on suddenly–he said he felt fine when he woke up that morning. And then he started having stomach cramps and pains, so I stayed home from work to drive him to the doctor Monday. The doctor checked his white blood cell count to make sure it wasn’t appendicitis, but the test result was normal. So it looks like it’s just a virus. He’s feeling a bit better today and the doctor gave him medicine to help with the nausea so at least he’s able to eat again.
Help me settle an ongoing debate I have with myself: Is it acceptable to eat the exact same lunch at least once a week? There’s this Japanese place near my day job and I really, really love the chicken and mixed vegetables with white sauce and I find myself going there every week to get some. I just had it on Friday and I’m having it again today.
Nevermind, don’t tell me. Because if it’s not acceptable and I should instead be eating a variety of things to keep from getting sick of the same old stuff, I won’t listen. It’s just so good. Actually, I kind of want to eat it every day, but I’m sure that would really be wrong.
It is more than acceptable; it is recommended. When you find something good, you gotta get it while you can! 🙂
