My second book is now scheduled to be released Fall 2009 instead of Spring. It’s a bit of a bummer to have to wait longer, but it does make sense. The book takes place at the beginning of the school year and high school football plays a huge part in it. So a fall release fits with the story and my publisher thinks it makes a great back to school book. So keep an eye out in the fall! I promise I will have more details about the book coming to this blog.
We now have our very first tomatoes growing on one of the plants we planted last month! When I went out to check the plants a few days ago, I found two tiny green tomatoes hanging from the middle plant. The other two plants don’t have any yet, but they do have the little buds that should start forming tomatoes soon. Every time I talk about the plants, The Husband says, “You’re really proud of yourself for growing tomatoes, aren’t you?” I keep telling him that I’m just amazed that anything is actually growing in our yard!
This has been a long week for me. I’ve had absolutely zero energy all week. I managed to get on the treadmill a few mornings, but this morning I just could not wake up in time even though I fell asleep a little earlier than I usually do last night. The other day I felt like I might be getting a cold or something, but I’m not sure.
Aw, that is too bad about it being pushed back. But it does sound like they know what they’re talking about. 🙂
Hi Shana!
I can totally relate! I found out a few weeks ago that they pushed back One Wish from a Spring 2008 release to Spring 2009. 🙁 I get to wait a whole ‘nother year on top of the one I’ve already waited. Yes, it’s a *huge* bummer.
It must be a good year for us “black thumbs.” I have green wildflower shoots coming up right now. I think if I see an actual flower I’ll die. 🙂
Have a great weekend!

Bravo on the gardening. We are really behind this year – only one squash plant that was a start from last year…
That stinks you have to wait longer, but the reasoning does make sense.
I’d be excited about growing tomatoes too. 🙂 I tried growing herbs once. I had some kind of kit that had a plastic top… it was fine for awhile until I left them out in the sun too long and they died. 🙁
