In an MMMBop

The other day, The Husband was looking through my iPod to see what music I had. He was sitting quietly on the couch with it, until he suddenly exclaimed, “Ugh! Ugh! UGH!” When I looked over at him he was making a face like he’d eaten a bug.

“What’s wrong with you?” I asked.

He turned the iPod around toward me and pointed at the screen. “Ugh! Ugh! UGH!”

He had discovered Hanson’s “MMMBop” hidden in my music files.

But come on, it’s a fun song! I always sing along to it and dance in my seat. Even at the office. (It helps liven up my day since I’m usually sitting by myself in a room in the back.)

Besides, I don’t think he has any right to criticize my music tastes. I’ve had to spend the last ten years educating him on Led Zeppelin, the Eagles, Pink Floyd, Steve Miller Band–all the classic rock music my parents raised me on that he had never really listened to because his parents listen only to country.

Seriously, what’s wrong with “MMMBop”? It’s so much fun to sing and dance to. I think it’s the perfect song for Wednesdays, to help brighten up the middle of the week.

There’s nothing wrong with some Mmmmbob. I was coming through the cd racks last week and came across a newer hanson CD. I wished they had a preview at Target where you could listen to it, because I really wanted to hear what type of songs they were doing. I have no idea how old the cd was, though.

I’ve been trying to resist downloading Spice Girls songs because I know how much my husband would tease me for that. 😉 MMMBop is catchy, it’s been stuck in my head all day!

Yeah, I just saw recently where Zach and his wife announced that they’re expecting! I hadn’t listened to their recent music, but I just went to the website and listened to some. I’m going to have download some of their newer music! 🙂

I never liked MMMBop, but I liked the other songs on the CD a lot, especially A Minute Without You and Speechless. I listened to a lot of Hanson back in the day when my sister really liked them.
