Sick day

I’ve been sick the last two days (at least I finally had an excuse to use up some of my 250+ hours of sick time at the day job) and so my ear popping has gotten worse, after it had been getting better. But at least, other than that, I’m feeling a better than I was before. My throat was so sore yesterday morning that it woke me up at 4am. I had no symptoms before I went to bed Tuesday night, but suddenly woke up Wednesday morning miserable.

But I’m starting to feel better and I even felt well enough to do some writing tonight on a WIP I started earlier this summer. And I sorted through my books in the computer room and listed a few more on my bookmooch account. I kept hoping that the newest episode of Gossip Girl would be put up on the CW website today so I could watch it while I was home sick, but it still hasn’t yet. I’ve gotten hooked on GG, but I watch it online because it comes on at the same time as Criminal Minds, which The Husband and I are both hooked on. But I didn’t get to watch GG today, so it’ll have to wait until the weekend, but I did finish up my rereading of Anne of Windy Poplars. I haven’t read the Anne books since I was 12 or so and even though the Emily books are still my absolute favorite LM Montgomery works, I like Anne a lot better than I did as a kid. I still have more in common with Emily though, which is why I’ve always loved her and have read her books so many times my copy of Emily Climbs (which has always been my favorite of the three) is falling apart.

Yeah, my Emily of New Moon is basically a stack of papers housed in a cover, I’ve read it so many times, although the only book I’ve actually had to replace in life is Little Town on the Prairie, I think EoNM is about there…

(I think it fell apart first because it has the highest page count…EC is my favorite one too.)

I love Gossip Girl! I knew I would. I also love Pushing Daisies and Dirty Sexy Money and Carpoolers and way too many other TV shows this season.
I finally finished Love, Stargirl last weekend and now I’m in the mood for more young adult stuff. I just am convinced I will always have a love for that genre. I’ll be 70 and still reading YA!
