I am such a book geek. I’m up early on a Saturday morning so I can be at the library book sale exactly when it opens at 9:00. My library has been having a lot more book sales this year than usual. They’re in the middle of a construction project to expand the library so I guess they’re having more sales to try to raise more money.
I go in search of Baby-Sitters Club and Sweet Valley books, and anything else that catches my eye. And a few movies too, although checking out the DVD table has to be carefully planned. Everyone attacks the DVD table as soon as the book sale opens. I always expect a fight to break out with how crazy everyone gets. So I look over the books first, figuring it safer than trying to get into the middle of the DVD frenzy, and wait for some of the movie shoppers to leave before I check out the selection.
