Blackest thumb

I was bitten by some fire ants last night while pulling weeds and my toe is still burning and itching this morning. The weeds had gotten a little out of control around the bushes we planted in the spring because it’s just been way too hot to be outside gardening. It was a little cooler around 7:00pm last night, so we went out to do some work. After I got bit by the fire ants, The Husband said, “And watch out for snakes too. They like to bed down in pine straw.”

“SNAKES?!” I exclaimed. “No one said anything about snakes when I agreed to this!”

Fire ants, snakes, ugly fat grub worms, and crickets that do a flying ninja jump at me when I pull up a weed. I hate gardening. And both of our rhododendrons have died, the dogwood tree we planted died, and three camellias are currently dying. The next time I get any ideas about planting things, remind me that I am a Plant Killer.

In good news, Something to Blog About is now listed on Amazon.com. I said to The Husband, “I’m available for preordering!” Which got me a weird look, but he knew what I meant.

HOW FUN the book is ready to be preordered! I’m definitely going to have to get mine preordered, soon!

Stinks about the bugs. I kill all plants as well, which is a good thing we decided to get rid of all ours.
