Whenever I’m away from my computer, things happen or I think of something and then say, “I should write about that in my blog!”
And then I sit down and open up my blog, and I can’t remember anything that I was going to write. I need to start carrying a Blog Notes notebook with me so I can write stuff down during the day.
Anyway. Our Big Spring Planting Project finally got done over the weekend. Yay! Although I’m not sure if my dogwood is going to make it. It’s looking a little shriveled up despite us watering it every day. How come whenever I don’t want rain, it has to rain every day, but after I plant a bunch of new shrubs and a new tree and I actually want rain so I don’t have to keep dragging the water hose around the house (because the only spigot is on the back of the house) it won’t rain even one drop?? Last week we had a couple days of 30% chance of rain and the clouds were taunting us with their grayness, but still no rain at all.
I was told this morning congratulations on my two NC Press awards. To which I responded, “I won two NC Press awards?” Apparently, one of the newspapers I create the online ads for submitted some of my ads to the contest the NC Press has for various things in newspaper excellence and two of my ads won. I still have no idea exactly what they won awards for, but who needs details?
Well, what a nice award surprise 🙂
