courtneywrites tagged me for the eight things meme.
The rules: Each player lists 8 facts/habits about themselves. The rules of the game are posted at the beginning before those facts/habits are listed. At the end of the post, the player then tags 8 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know that they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog.
1. I like bacon by itself, but I can never eat it on or in anything else. Bacon on my cheeseburger? Gross. Bacon, all greasy and crispy, on its own? Yummy.
2. I have no sense of direction at all. Do not ever tell me to go north or south, or even tell me to go left or right. During driver’s ed, I had to draw an L on the back of my left hand so I could easily figure out which way the instructor was telling me to turn. The only reason I can figure out left from right now is because I know my wedding rings are on my left hand. So I can’t ever get divorced or else I’ll be lost.
3. I get scared of ghosts and other paranormal things easily. Unsolved Mysteries always freaked me out as a kid. The theme music still gets me all jumpy and nervous. Also, I watched one episode of Supernatural one night and was then too afraid to take my dog out into my backyard.
4. I lived with a little boy ghost for years in the house I grew up in. I might think it was just my imagination except that my mom and brother also saw it on several occasions.
5. I would rather clean the entire rest of my house by myself than clean just the bathroom. I let The Husband do that room.
6. I took three years of Spanish and yet was never able to speak Spanish. I can read it well enough to figure out what it says, but I can’t form sentences on my own because the sentence structure and verbs get my brain all mixed up.
7. To calm myself when I’m nervous, I recite my favorite parts of “The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock” by T.S. Eliot, which is my favorite poem ever.
8. I barely scraped by in science classes in school. I love learning science stuff and watching science shows, but science classes were nearly my downfall. Thank goodness for extra credit projects!
Love these 😀
Tell me that’s NOT true about the little boy ghost???
Yep, it’s true! He never did anything to us or caused problems, just walked down the hall at night and stood in my room. Still freaked me out whenever I’d see him, but at least he didn’t seem like an angry ghost.
really? really? tell more! you should really write a book about this! yikes
