Better late than never

Did you know this was Blog Delurking Week? I’d heard about it before, but completely forgot until I saw laurenbarnholdt‘s post this morning. I know I have at least a couple of people who have never posted a comment here, so if that’s you, take a moment to say hello. You don’t need a livejournal account to comment. And if you have commented before, feel free to comment again and tell us something about you, pimp your books if you’re a writer, profess your undying love of chocolate, whatever you want. Today is the last day of Blog Delurking Week, but that’s okay.

Anyway, I’ve been seeing those commercials for the movie The Hitcher. I knew the girl was Sophia Bush, but I kept thinking, “Who is the scary guy?? Why does he look so familiar??” Finally looked it up on imdb.com and I can’t believe I didn’t figure it out–it’s Boromir from Lord of the Rings! Do you know how many times I have watched the LOTR movies? (Which is not solely because of my love for Orlando Bloom, despite what the husband thinks.) It must have been the short hair that threw me off. I’m so used to seeing Sean Bean as Boromir with the long, not-as-grungy-as-Aragorn’s hair.

OMG, I just watched LOTR – The Two Towers last night. And I’ll admit it, I watch mainly for glimpses of Orlando! Yes, nearly three hours just for that. Good thing the movie actually is engaging and fun to watch.

I’m not sure if I’ve ever left a comment before. But just in case, who am I to not participate in Delurking day.

Well, I haven’t exactly been lurking as I only found your blog (through Lauren’s one) this morning… but my first book’s being published this year too, and I’ve read a couple of your entries, and you seem cool, and I’ve friended you and I hope that’s okay.
