I really need to start my Christmas shopping. I have no gifts bought so far. We still haven’t put our tree up, but I think we’ll probably do it Tuesday or Wednesday night. I’m not in a big rush to put it up though, because our animals always tear it down. They knock it over, break ornaments, and pull the strings of lights down.
Since the book I wrote for NaNoWriMo is based on a story from Greek mythology, I wanted to read more about the subject. I came back from Florida with a box of books my mom had saved for me, a collection called The Programmed Classics. I remember these books always being in our house while I was growing up and I wanted to have them one day. So when the aquarium leaked last year and ruined the shelving units and most of the books my parents had stored there, my mom put those books aside for me instead of throwing them out with the others. One of the books in the set is Bulfinch’s Mythology, The Age of Fable by Thomas Bulfinch, which I’m now reading. I love it. Not only does it give you various stories from Roman and Greek mythology, but it also gives snippets of poetry by other people that reference these stories.
I let myself have the weekend to relax, catch up on my reading, and watch a few episodes of season six of Gilmore Girls. But today it’s back to work on the book I was working on before November. I printed out what I currently have written, so at lunch I’ll read through it and work on my outline for the rest of the book to get myself back on track.

Sounds like you have a good plan — I need to get with it too…sigh. 😉
