November hates me

NaNoWriMo just started and I’m already behind. I usually do most of my writing during my lunch hour Monday through Friday, but this week I’ve had meetings the last two days that lasted through lunch so I couldn’t write. I won’t be able to write during lunch today either. I did get some writing in Wednesday night and was able to get 1691 words. But then last night I was exhausted, I guess from the two days of meetings, that I fell asleep before 9:00pm and didn’t get any writing done.

This morning I managed to write a little and got my word count up to 2095, but it’s still not enough to get me where I should be right now. I have to play catch up this weekend. At least it’s early in the game so I still have plenty of time to make it up.

These last few days have left me feeling like I’m in a fog. I can’t think straight, I feel rushed in everything, and anything that can go wrong is. My glasses even fell apart right in the middle of the four and a half hour meeting I was in yesterday!

I don’t know if this is a sign about how the rest of my month is going to go, but I’m thinking of hiding in a dark cave until December gets here.

The only good news that’s come out of the first three days of November is that my biopsy came back all clear. Well, the biopsy couldn’t tell exactly what the bump on my face was, but it wasn’t cancerous.

    NaNo

I’m participating in NaNoWriMo for the first time this year. My first middle grade novel came out in September, so I thought this would be a great chance to get started on my next project. My word count is low (6,500 as of Nov. 6), but I have some opportunities to get some writing done scheduled for this week.

    Good luck!!
