Working weekend

This weekend was very productive as far as my LIBBY revisions. The husband is working overnights this week and is sleeping during the day. As much as I love him, I can get A LOT more work done when he’s gone or asleep.

So I printed out the pages I had revised already and figured out where I could add in two new chapters. With the printed pages, it was easier to see where they could fit in than it was when I had to keep scrolling back and forth through the Word file. I got those new chapters written, both of which show more of Seth and Angel, Libby’s love interest and archnemesis, respectively. The Angel chapter helps set things up for the new climax between Libby and Angel, so I needed it written before I got to that part so I’d know exactly what had happened earlier in the book.

I hope all these new additions and changes work with the rest of the story. Sometimes I feel good about them, sometimes I doubt myself. Same as usual, I suppose.

I feel like I need someone else to read through it before I send it back to my agent, but at the most (if I finished everything I need to do fast enough) a critiquer would have only two weeks to read it before my deadline. I have some great ladies in my online critique group, but I’d really hate to ask anyone to read it that quickly and interfere with their own writing time.
