Did anyone see that show on ABC last night, Last Days on Earth? It was so science geeky and scary, but fascinating. I could not stop watching all the possibilities of how life on Earth or the planet as a whole might be destroyed. Black holes, huge asteroids, super volcanoes (there’s one under Yellowstone), accidental nuclear wars.
I can’t watch shows about ghosts. I watched one episode of Supernatural on the WB a few months ago and was too freaked out to take my dog outside after it was over. Just hearing the theme music for Unsolved Mysteries gives me nightmares. But I can happily watch shows about the entire planet being destroyed and only think about how fascinating it was.
Really, it was a very interesting show. I liked the space stuff best, like the black holes moving toward us and sucking up Earth. Um, not liked as in “I so hope that’s the way people go extinct!” but as in “Wow, this really appeals to the Little Shana who wanted to be an astronomer or astronaut when she grew up!”
I watched until 9:10, then I remembered to turn it to Project Runway.
I thought it was fascinating stuff, too! And I canNOT watch Supernatural, but I love all the “real” ghost shows like Most Haunted and Ghost Hunters (is that what it’s called–I suddenly can’t remember).
Ooh! Ooh! I’m weird too. I caught a part of that and loved it. Right up my alley. I hope they show it again sometime so I can see the whole thing.
Ooh…no…I hate stuff like that. I get so depressed thinking about the loss of Earth’s culture forever.
I watched because I’m always curious about catastrophic events. Speaking of “catastrophic,” did you notice how many times they said that? I could finish their sentences for them, they used so many cliche phrases.
