I love the robbery reports that run in our local newspaper. They are almost always amusing:
Smith said Pigg, Craft, Graham and Davis allegedly entered a home on School House Road in Walstonburg by breaking the window out of a back door. Items that were stolen were:
– 12-foot aluminum boat valued at $200;
– Single barrel 12-gauge shotgun valued at $500;
– 20-gauge automatic shotgun valued at $200;
– Single-barrel shotgun valued at $75;
– Three rod and reels valued at $75;
– Rifle valued at $300;
– Rifle valued at $200;
– Three frozen chickens valued at $7.50;
– 24 ice cream sandwiches valued at $15;
– 12 can drinks valued at $4.50
“Everything was recovered except the food items,” Smith said.
I guess the thieves got a little hungry while robbing this house.
One of the best crime reports in our paper ever was the man who got caught stealing Kool-Aid packets from Piggly Wiggly.
Sometimes you really can’t make this stuff up.
So strange – did they actually check the fridge and freezer along with the rest of their possessions?
I guess the robbers grabbed all the guns and then were like, “Let’s check the fridge and see if there’s anything good before we leave!” lol 😉
