Mmm…spam…

I am getting a LOT of emails lately from people such as Mrs. Jessical Macvon from Liberia and Mr. M D Thabo from South Africa who are executors of Mr. Something-or-another’s estate and they’ll give me millions of dollars to keep for FREE. And all I have to do is send them my bank account information so they can wire it to me.

With all this money I’m getting soon, I’ll never have to work again!!

</sarcasm>

Seriously, I am getting a ton of these emails to my yahoo mail all of a sudden. I used to get one every once in a great while, but in the last week I’m getting about 20 a day. Those–along with the sudden influx of emails informing me that I won a lottery I never entered–are making me tempted to go through with giving up my yahoo mail account and switching over entirely to my gmail one. The yahoo account is a holdover from days pre-gmail and is the account most of my friends and family send email to, so it’s hard to let go. (Or else it’s just too much work to tell everyone to use the other one.)
