I’ve seen this meme everywhere lately and it’s about my favorite topic, so I’m filling it out.
1. Total number of books I own: Over 300, if you count in the ones that are really property of the husband. I know I have close to 300 of my own.
2. Last book(s) I bought: Um, I just placed a preorder for the next Harry Potter book the other day, does that count? If not, the last one I bought was Princess in Training by Meg Cabot.
3. Last book(s) I read: I’m currently reading Baby-Sitters Club Super Special #7 Snowbound. The last book I actually finished was Baby-Sitters Club #25 Mary Anne and the Search for Tigger. Heh. I really do read big books, honest. The last one I read before these was A Storm of Swords by George R. R. Martin, all 900-and-some pages of it.
4. Five books that mean a lot to me:
- Lord of the Rings, what made me love fantasy.
- Dolls From Other Worlds, I liked this book so much at age seven, I stole it from my school. The only thing I’ve ever stolen in my life and of course it was a book, heh. I’m such a dork.
- The Ghost at Dawn’s House, the first Baby-Sitters Club book I ever read. I still remember getting this for the first time.
- Emily Climbs by LM Montgomery, made me want to be a published writer
- Franny and Zooey by JD Salinger, for when I’m feeling all angsty.
I got a new keyboard last night for the Palm because the guy at Radio Shack thought maybe it was a problem with the keyboard, which I thought also since the Palm only acts up when I hook it to the keyboard. I had this Palm Portable Keyboard originally. Now I have this Palm Ultra Thin Keyboard. I used it for a while last night and it worked okay then. I’m crossing my fingers that it will continue to work okay and I won’t have to throw my Palm out a window after all.
I’d written solely in Emma the last few days, but this morning I was up an hour early thanks to my dog, so I wrote a bit in Band Geeks. I had thought that maybe I could put BG on hold to finish E because I was really enjoying working on it lately. But then I really enjoyed working on BG this morning. I can’t neglect one for the other. I love them both.
