Halfway

I’m about halfway through the first draft of Emma’s book. Or at least, halfway to my target word count. As far as the storyline, I believe I’m about at the halfway point. I’ve been making changes though. There are two big things in the story that I decided to change today, so when I do my first revision I’ll have to rework all of that stuff in the beginning part. I won’t do it right now because it’ll just slow me down and I want to keep moving. No editing until the first draft reaches the end.

I’m not quite as far in Band Geeks as I am with E. My focus has turned to E lately, though I still try to fit in a bit of writing on BG from time to time. Still, I’ll probably finish up E first and then finish BG. And I have an idea for another book, but that one will definitely have to wait its turn.

Yesterday on the way home, I thought my car had transported me back to 1990. The radio station I usually listen to played “U Can’t Touch This.” Yes, by MC “I can use my pants as an emergency parachute” Hammer.

The sad thing is, I listened to it. I heard it and I didn’t even change the station. And I sang along.
