My Palm is acting up. I use a Palm m130 to write while I’m away from home. Yesterday it did not want to cooperate. It does this thing where I press a button on my keyboard (I have one of those full size ones that folds up) after I’ve been typing for a while and the Palm decides I wanted it to HotSync to my computer. Which I didn’t because I’M NOT EVEN NEAR MY COMPUTER. In the past, resetting it has fixed this problem for a little while.
Yesterday the Palm decided it didn’t want to be fixed. Whenever I hooked it up to the keyboard, it would decide to HotSync on its own, without me even pressing any buttons. Reset didn’t fix this.
I ended up having to handwrite the next chapter in Emma’s book so I could write during lunch. Last night I deleted the keyboard driver from the Palm and downloaded an updated one, so I hope this works because my arm can’t handwrite for long periods of time like it used to. (When I was younger, I handwrote all my stories and would write for hours. Too much typing killed that ability.)
Update: Nope, I ended up handwriting again. The Palm worked for about half an hour, then decided to try HotSyncing on its own again. This thing is REALLY making me want a laptop instead.2
